WATCH | The ZRP says it is investigating a video showing a police officer allegedly negotiating with a tourist for an iPhone instead of a US$30 fine for a traffic offence.

The video was first posted on an Instagram account called Buggyteeth. The tourists were stopped by a police officer for failing to stop at a stop sign. They were told that the fine was US$30.

The tourists asked if they could be given a warning instead of paying the fine. During the discussion, the police officer asked for an iPhone instead.

The ZRP says it has taken note of the video and has started investigations to establish whether the video is genuine and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police are also working to identify the officer involved and establish the date, time and location of the alleged incident.

The reason why I keep highlighting my humble origins of Nerutanga in Buhera is so that it's clear that I am proud of them.

I have already won a lot in life. I have exceeded my own expectations beyond my wildest dreams.

I have got bags of resilience as well. Digging & peddling false narratives out of desperation can only expose their naked agenda based on nastiness, cruelty, malice & spite.
