The 138 new surgeons from 14 different countries being inducted into the College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa. These surgeons will go a long way towards expansion of the surgical workforce in Africa. Millions of people around Africa have no access to much needed surgical care resulting in premature death or morbidity. The contributions of the College to healthcare on the continent is astounding. @cosecsa@AmCollSurgeons@WomenSurgAfr@SurgSocZim@ASOU_Official@MoHCCZim
So I must pay TAX on my income earned, then pay VAT and LEVIES on items purchased using my already taxed income, then pay DUTIES if I save enough and purchase a house, but pay GAINS TAX if I sell same house, then still pay TAX on any remaining amount I have left when I retire? 🤨

On Responsibility and Accountability in Harare’s Waste Management Crisis 🧵
Sometimes, we have to laugh at ourselves to process the absurdity. We dress well, look great, but walk through a city drowning in trash. 🗑️💼
We’ve become so desensitized that throwing litter out of car windows or onto the street feels “normal.” Worse, we expect someone else to clean up after us. 🤷🏾♂️
This isn’t just a failure of the council; it’s a failure of us as residents. We’ve lost our sense of civic duty and pride in our environment. 🌍
Yes, the council has a responsibility to collect waste, but accountability goes both ways. Residents must stop littering and dumping in undesignated areas. 🛑
Imagine the impact if every person committed to disposing of waste properly. If we used bins where available, we’d take the first step in breaking the cycle. 🗑️➡️
The council must also step up. Regular and reliable waste collection is non-negotiable. They must provide bins, refuse trucks, and recycling programs. 🚛♻️
A clean city is a shared responsibility. Let’s hold each other accountable. Residents: Don’t litter. Council: Do your job. Together, we can restore Harare’s beauty. ✊🏾💚
It starts with small changes. Let’s lead by example. Let’s rebuild pride and civic duty, one bin at a time. Who’s in? #CleanHarare #CivicDuty #HAK
