Even by the BBC's standards the interview with the Labour Chair of Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee this morning on Radio 4 was baffling. He was there to talk about Iranian proxies setting fire to Jewish ambulances in London. And yet on three occasions he referred to the threat posed by "right-wing groups". Anti-semitism is rising on the extreme Right; but to give it any kind of equivalence with the Islamists who actually are blowing things up is deranged.

Watched this several times now - and think it is the most disgusting and inexcusable behaviour from @SecKermani of @Channel4News.

This is activism, not journalism, and he pushes pro-Iranian propaganda outside a destroyed civilian building hit by an Iranian ballistic missile.

Listen to the clip. There is no question asked. His bias and distaste for Israel gush from his mouth. Just vile.

Imagine a journalist outside a 7/7 Underground station suggesting there was no moral difference between the Brits fighting the terrorists and the terrorists themselves.

People had just died in that building.

His attitude is typical of an elitist mentality that has lost itself in its own self justifying echo chamber - far removed from the real world.

As much as he no doubt considers himself ethically and intellectually superior to most of those around him, his closed mind and ignorance leave him looking nasty and stupid.

He came across like an activist anti-Israel student at university.
