I voted for an administration that would stop human trafficking at our borders. I voted to get rapists and pedophiles off the streets. Trump's action in freeing the Tate brothers was a stunning betrayal of his mandate.

I want to thank the overflow crowds who came out in Iowa City to stand up to Trumpism.
Together we must say NO to oligarchy, NO to authoritarianism, NO to massive cuts in Medicaid and NO to huge tax breaks for billionaires.
Let me thank the more than 3,400 people of Omaha who joined us last night to stand together in the fight against oligarchy and authoritarianism.
Together, we can stop Republicans from cutting Medicaid and giving tax breaks to billionaires.
Next stop: Iowa.
Sabine Hossenfelder coined 'Lost in Math' for physicists who (allegedly) get so enamoured of the mathematical beauty of their theories that they believe they must be true.
There is a related but separate phenomenon, which I call 'Lost in Philosophy' where physicists (scientists more generally) fall in love with their ideals of how nature should be. They invent theories that start from their own philosophical ideals and try to fit nature into it.
The classic example is Einstein, who refused to accept quantum theory as fundamental because he believed "God does not play dice"--i.e nature should follow the principle now called 'realism'. He tried to invent a new theory which could explain nature while satisfying realism, which incidentally led him to also get Lost in Math and failed.
This approach usually fails. Nature does not care about what principles you think it should follow.
Medicaid is not for sale.
NASA is not for sale.
The Post Office is not for sale.
America is not for sale.
We have an obligation to resist kings.
We outnumber the oligarchs.
And they can be overwhelmed.
