In southern India, more than 10,000 farmers gathered as part of the Save Soil movement, with the on-ground Mega Conference organized by Cauvery Calling.
The gathering focused on a central question facing agriculture worldwide: How can farming remain economically viable for farmers while restoring soil health?
Agricultural scientists, experienced farmers, and public representatives came together to examine tree-based agriculture as a long-term approach — one that offers sustained income over decades while contributing to ecological stability.
The discussions highlighted how existing policies and historical regulations continue to shape farming choices on the ground, and why aligning law, science, and farmer realities is critical for the future of agriculture.
The event combined dialogue with practical exchange, strengthening connections among regenerative farmers, deepening shared understanding amongst farmers, scientists and politicians, and reinforcing tree-based agriculture as a promising long-term strategy.

Every aspect of Creation – from a grain of sand to a mountain, a drop to an ocean – is a manifestation of an Intelligence far beyond the human intellect. #SadhguruQuotes
When you are hungry and want to eat, just postpone it by ten minutes. Be conscious of your hunger; do not get busy with some other activity. Consciously postpone your meal and wait. (From Death: An Inside Story)
It is heartwarming to see that our farmers are embracing tree-based agriculture on a massive scale in the Cauvery river basin. A gathering of over 10,000 farmers is an indication of the growing large-scale acceptance of this model which has been proven to enrich both farmer economy and the soil. Farming should be liberated from all rules to encourage farmers to grow whatever earns them maximum profit. It is only in making farming lucrative that Bharat can truly thrive. Congratulations to all farmers and everyone involved in the movement to rejuvenate River Cauvery. Blessings. -Sg #CauveryCalling #SaveSoil @ChouhanShivraj@AgriGoI@cpsavesoil
