@alojohhardcore Indeed I am, thanks! Felt very calm going through last week because I knew I was positioned in great companies and buying more on sale. Felt confident going into this week. HC = confidence
I have a 2026 Model Y running the latest FSD. I drive FSD more than 90% of the time. I love FSD, but my experience is it has a long way to go. It is indecisive at times - bizarre braking behavior (getting worse, not better with updates), changes lanes too much, or into lanes that are ending, passes on the right, takes way too long at stop signs, speeds too much on standard, speeds waaaay too much on hurry, can’t back out of a driveway, can’t pull into my garage, has a hard time pulling out of street parking spaces, and sometimes it can't. I have not seen substantive improvement since I bought it at launch over a year ago. There is this constant, self-validating commentary on X that FSD is getting better and better. That has not been my experience. With that being said, only once have I had a true critical disengagement.
@alojoh The decisions Tesla made at the time maximized profit based on the rules of the game at the time, different rules - different decisions. Every company we invest in is propped up by government subsidies, those subsidies just aren’t as obvious as the EV tax credit.
The world would be much better off if Elon had a hundred trillion dollars. In the history of the world, no one is better at allocating capital than Mr. Musk. His net worth reflects the value he has brought to the world - and no one has brought more value than he has.
@SenSanders Senator, screw you and your damned bill. I’m no trillionaire, but every year when I reach the cap, I celebrate the end of the theft. The only purpose of your bill is to redistribute wealth so you can stay in power. Keep your hands off my damned money.
I was fortunate to have a significant cash position going into yesterday. Why? Because your channel method told me it was time to sell off a position. I was then in position to take advantage of the market sell off, again guided by your channel method, to buy some companies with great upside potential, at a discount.
@wholemars Meager outperformance, always with the promise of “Tesla to $2000!!”, has not been worth the constant volatility-induced stress. The scales on my eyes have fallen.
I’ve seen AJ admit he was wrong/should have done things differently at least twice in the past week, and I’ve seen a steady stream of research results on the HC channel that have more than justified the price. I don’t think its reasonable to expect to receive the level of research AJ releases on the HC channel for the cost of a simple subscription, yet, even the information you get on the simple subscription is actionable enough to do well and beat the market.
@heydave7 The argument is moot. Elon has abandoned making cars that people like to drive, at great risk to us shareholders and the profitability of the company, in favor of a reckless, all or nothing pursuit of cybercab. The roadster will be the last Tesla that people can drive themselves.
1- The Police Use-of-Force Rule on Moving Vehicles
Core Police Rule taught nationwide: Officers should not intentionally place themselves in front of or in the path of a moving vehicle and then use deadly force to stop it.
2- DOJ / FBI / National Policing Standards
The U.S. Department of Justice and FBI training doctrine states: A moving vehicle alone is not considered a deadly threat. Officers must attempt to move out of the vehicle’s path rather than fire.
Deadly force is not justified if: The officer voluntarily placed themselves in front of the vehicle. The vehicle is attempting to flee. There are other avenues of escape
3- International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
The IACP model policy says:
Officers shall not fire at or from a moving vehicle unless:
There is an imminent threat other than the vehicle itself, and No reasonable alternatives exist
Standing in front of a vehicle creates the danger and invalidates the justification.
4- Minnesota training explicitly teaches:
Officers must avoid positioning themselves in front of vehicles during enforcement actions
Use of deadly force is not justified when the danger results from the officer’s own tactical decisions
This is drilled into recruits.
5- Supreme Court Context
While not a numbered rule, courts repeatedly rule that:
An officer cannot manufacture a deadly-force scenario and then claim self-defense.
This is known legally as “officer-created jeopardy.”
5- How It’s Taught to Police
Police are taught:
Step aside
Let the vehicle go
Identify later
Do not block with your body
Do not draw a gun in front of a car
Why?
Because:
Cars are common
People panic
Officers escalate situations unnecessarily
Innocent people get killed.
@MattPocius2 Glad to see you back. Hope you keep doing the yt channel - you’re one of the best sources of tesla info out there. I watch you all the time.
