Beginning Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Town of Simmesport will be conducting smoke tests on the sewer lines. You may see white smoke coming up from your sink or bathtub. THIS IS NOT SMOKE. It is water vapor. These tests will go on in different parts of town until August 31.
The Town of Simmesport is under a water boil advisory. The department of health will test the water and ensure it is safe to drink. We will let everyone know when the advisory is lifted.
