@anaesthetic_spr@gordonm1les Equally - whilst we have a good scope, and many PRE HOSPITAL skills/ knowledge. I’m not foolish enough to think I know more, or by doing 2 more years of education I can work as a doctor. If I wanted that, I’d go to medical school. But alas I cannot afford this due to reproducing.
@anaesthetic_spr@gordonm1les It’s a shame. As a paramedic I thought of ACP as a career choice. But I don’t want to replace doctors. I honestly thought the job role would be to help doctors, with just a few extra skills to aid this. I’m now put off doing it. I don’t want to replace doctors.
@madflavor just finished the book uncle Joey. Loved it. Really hit all the feels. The ups, the downs. The perseverance. You shouldn't be here today, yet here you are 👏👏
@Xeon4f145d96s1 I wouldn't mind have a doctor locum with me on a big yellow box, think it would be a laugh, and a good learning opportunity, hopefully for all :)
@Dr_Done_@The_SCPs I can out unique skill you both, I can drive a yellow box on blue lights, all whilst maintaining a god like complex of my registration, and I don't even crash as I think about it 😏
On reflection I've deleted my original tweet. However, I do think it's disheartening to hear that a large private ambulance provider went bust, one who reassured their staff constantly that they were financially sound, and this has put lots of jobs at risk. I hope statements come
@Norwich_PCP@MediCareEMS I think this is primarily on RRG, as I've said to buy a company and keep 1 employee is better than it going bust and everyone loosing their job. Rapid were so silent about this, that everything has come from disgruntled staff.
@TobyKing29@Ambo_Matt to be fair I have no gripe against working conditions etc... but I think how this has been handled is a bit infuriating for the industry
