@SarcasticForest I thought similar for Celtic penalty v Motherwell - very little time spent considering something that was a very marginal call at best, and massive in the context of the season
@marcuschown But what is the plausible mechanism by which this happens? Do we then get Vance? Who is somehow possibly worse.
And whatever we think, he did win the popular vote - so ousting is not prima facie an obvious win for democracy
@mallyslife_ This year represents an opportunity for the likes of Coventry, Sunderland, Sheff Wed, etc. Not going to predict EPL relegation but I’d already imagine a more difficult Championship next year
@mallyslife_ Certainly atm. Only Leeds of sides that didn’t go up are probably decent and only Burnley of the relegated sides look obviously equipped to bounce back *now*, although Luton may look to replace Barkley with some parachute money and challenge again. After that - random
@OllieBradfield1@AntBreach Interesting theory in places but does not survive any contact with reality
Eg. There is more chance of the UK landing an astronaut on Venus than the Treasury agreeing to any local income tax
@ftbrussels I guess I don’t understand the realpolitik but all this seems obvious - why don’t we get on with this? Are we scared of stuff or just genuinely deluded?
