I am beyond excited to announce that my second (!!) album I Was / I Am will be released on September 17. I am more proud of this work than anything else I’ve done and I’m beyond grateful for your patience. You can pre-order and pre-save it now. https://t.co/Xk2onhcbqE
Govt wants @TwitterIndia to delete delete posts critiquing the handling of the COVID-19 mayhem.
How will they delete the first page of the @nytimes
The world is watching
Washington must focus on countering disinformation in addition to more traditional computer-related threats, write Justin Sherman and Simon Handler. https://t.co/nU8Sy02moJ
A good start, but it will interesting to see how the Biden administration improves resilience in our cyber infrastructure and deter similar attacks in the future #SPACyber440
#BREAKING: The Biden admin announces sanctions against Russia, including against:
-32 Russian entities & individuals for election meddling
-8 individuals & entities for Crimean occupation
-6 tech comps designated for malicious cyber activities
-Expel 10 Russian officials from US
An infrastructure bill should include funding for cybersecurity. The internet is critical infrastructure for public and private realms in the 21st century.
It was such a pleasure to discuss the future of the Internet, global speech 🌍 , my work at the @DigCivSoc and @OversightBoard with @StanfordEng's Russ Altman!

Often overshadowed by security flaws and economic damage, the social repercussions that accompany network disruptions are harder to observe but just as critical to understand #SPACyber440
By conducting interviews with experts from 11 countries that experienced network disruptions and reviewing existing literature and #HumanRights mechanisms, @tomiwa_ilori finds that the social repercussions of disruptions are debilitating and far reaching: https://t.co/GXPlXRiekV
This follows a disturbing trend of other countries (Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ethiopia) that promote democracy at face value yet restrict access to the greatest democratizing tool their citizens have when it appears to threaten the status quo. #SPA440cyber
Internet has been cut in the Republic of Congo hours before polling stations were set to open. Congo is holding its presidential election today.
According to @kentikinc data, traffic stopped flowing into Congo at 23:04 UTC or just after midnight local. #KeepItOn
Interesting, but seemingly at odds with today’s NYT article claiming that declassified reports show Russia had attempted to meddle in the 2020 elections #SPA440Cyber
A new report from @DHSgov & @TheJusticeDept found no evidence that the 2020 election was manipulated by a foreign government.
The report is clear – the 2020 elections were free and fair.
Thank you to our partners who worked to ensure election security & resilience.
I’m curious how the FBI plans on working with tech giants on lawful access, especially considering that Apple uses privacy and protection as a main advertising point over their competitors #SPA440Cyber
#FBI Executive Assistant Director Darrin Jones will discuss the impact of end-to-end encryption on lawful access and public safety during the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. Learn more at https://t.co/RnyAXpHA0f. #CrimeCongress@UNODC
FBI Counterterrorism chief Jill Sanborn just made a crucial point: the FBI does not believe it has the authority to monitor PUBLIC social media posts unless there is predication such as an open investigation. That’s largely the bureau missed so many of the threats.
Would love to see more developments in US cyber infrastructure and in particular, more interest in supplementing emerging Infrastructure bills with cyber protections. #SPA440Cyber
