I did say these things about Ukraine and Zelensky and I am not deleting my posts because I’ve realized, I was wrong.

I was living in a media echo chamber and I was propagandized by Russian media on social media to believe those things.

So I came to Ukraine to see the country for myself. I am going to try to find evidence for the propaganda I’ve been fed, and if I don’t find it, I will let everyone know so they too can come to see the light.

On day one, I’ve already seen photos of dead priests in Bucha murdered by Russia and I saw the mass grave where the bodies of murdered Christians were placed after Russia sent forces from Chechnya to massacre innocent people.

I spoke with officials who rescue POWs and they showed me photos of Ukrainian POWs who had swastikas engraved into their forehead by Russians.

Who are the Nazis? 🤔 I was lied to for years.

I realized Ukraine and @ZelenskyyUa aren’t the jihadi apologists… but Russia and Putin are!

I was wrong! I have a responsibility to correct the record.

Russia is very good at information warfare.

Thank you Dale. This photo proves the very opposite of a genocide. The only way an army would be able to carry out this level of destruction (the why is a separate argument but essentially booby traps, snipers, and tunnels) with so few civilian casualties comparatively is with a policy of going out of their way to preserve civilian life - aka, the opposite of genocide.

This was with leaflets, text messages, excavations, and teams calling people up in each building. Strategically this also meant the enemy were warned of impending strikes, a tough way to fight a war, but the IDF did it to protect civilians. Again, opposite of a genocide. From that photo you’d think 100% of the population were dead. The reality is 3% - 70,000 out of 2,300,000. And that number includes Hamas combatants, those killed by Hamas rocket misfires, and natural causes. And of course civilians, which is a tragedy, and a part of proven Hamas strategy to deliberately fight behind them.

So yes, look at this photo. LOOK AT IT. And maybe reflect on your views.

No words are big enough right now to overcome this empty feeling in the stomach. We were close, really close to another final but it wasn’t enough. We’ve given everything over these last 7 weeks and to fall short is hard to take!

I know the expectations are high and rightly so, we’ve been knocking on the door for 8 years now but again are missing that final piece of the jigsaw! That’s where we have to go away, process it and find a way to get better. I’m so proud of the boys and what we have shown throughout this tournament - some tough games and tough environments that we have overcome.

Some memories that will stay with us players and I’m sure you fans for a long long time! Going for glory doesn’t always mean you will get it. You have to fight for it, get knocked down, pick yourself up and go again and that’s what we will do, there’s no other way but to keep believing and keeping pushing.
