Anyone belittling this performance doesn't know hoop.
Bam was more unstoppable last night than any player I've ever seen in a game. His free-throw record was set because fouling was the only way to stop him from finishing at the rim on every possession.
@HPbasketball Aren’t casuals the ones who wrongly think thay more difficult and complex scoring methods are somehow better than scoring more easily and efficiently?
(Not saying anything about Shai who is amazing and hyper efficient, I just think this is the wrong critique of casuals)
It feels really good to have the No. 1 pick in a fantasy draft, break consensus, and have the player you took win you your league in the final game of championship week.
If you know me you know I’m as big a Steph fan as there is but we were all were so stoked on this year’s team to start the season.
It’s not necessarily a failure of ownership/FO/coaching that the team isn’t as good as we all thought it was.
The most damning piece of evidence about who was better on them Warriors teams between KD & Steph was when Quinn Cook said KD tried his hardest to get Steph Finals MVP in 2018 and it didn’t work.
Told me everything I needed to know.
My initial take on the Mike Brown hiring:
Knicks are the favorites to come out of the East.
They have the best and healthiest roster by a considerable margin, and they just made a coaching upgrade.
Free agent center Kevon Looney has agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources tell ESPN. Life Sports Agency CEO Todd Ramasar and the Pelicans reached a deal tonight for the three-time NBA champion who departs Golden State after 10 years.
If we’re gonna DQ 2016 Steph because he didn’t win a chip, fine…
But then where is 2015 Steph? (who was worse than 2016 Steph, but I’m not the one DQing him)
@PeterVecsey1@curtisalvin How could Riley be GM for the 2012 draft but Myers be the one that nearly traded Curry to the Bucks? The Bucks trade was before the 2012 draft…
People in the comments are explaining why, and trust me I get why (better competition, Russ’ flaws, injuries, etc.), but this is still 10000% true.
It felt like the start of a dynasty.
