Nice morning at Noar Hill. First Whitethroat seen this spring along with several Early Purple Orchids, Common Dog-violet, couple of Slow worms, Bee-flies and happily, a Duke of Burgundy. Lots of low flying Red Kiteโs too. #noarhill@savebutterflies
Nice long walk at Thorney Island yesterday. Seems to have been a small window in the fog for the day there. Redwings, Goldeneye and these close Bearded Tits the highlight.
Another great day on @naturetrektours Just Jaguars tour. A travel day to our final lodge but lots of birds on the way including Common Tody Flycatcher, Yellow-Chevroned Parakeet. Then an evening in a viewing area gave us a real thrill as Ocelot and Screech Owl were seen.
More fantastic sightings on @naturetrektours Just Jaguars tour. At least one Jaguar seen on each of our trips from the flotel. Weโve also enjoyed Giant Otter along with some wonderful birdlife including Kingfishers, Hawks, Storks & Herons aplenty. Glorious sunsets too.
Fantastic wildlife on @naturetrektours Just Jaguars. Jabiru, Roseate Spoonbill, Great Potoo. Raptors everywhere. Agouti, Coati, Capuchin, Crab-eating fox, Caiman. On our first boat trip from the flotel and we find our main target - Jaguar! The Pantanal truly is incredible.
With this long weekend looking like a bit of a wash out where I am, Iโm glad I made the most of the last one. Taken at Farlington Marshes and in the New Forest.
Connected with the Woolmer Pond Pied Flycatcher this morning. Lovely bird. Also House Martins and Sand Martins over the pond. @HOSbirding@hantsbirdnews
Nice afternoon spent at Farlington Marshes. Finally caught up with a pair of duelling Shorties. Cracking Sparrowhawk too. #farlingtonmarshes#hantsbirds#hiwwt#owls
The long walk to Blakeney Point was well worth it to see a new bird for me, the Alpine Accentor. Fabulous bird that came to within 4m at times. Several Seals and Red-throated Divers also close to the shore.
