@DanielPriestley@CharlesOJ I totally agree. And unless someone’s done it they really have no idea how hard it is, do they. Running a small business is not for the faint hearted. plus no government ever seems to be interested in the input of small business owners, only that of corporations.
@LizWebsterSBF That’s interesting. I was under the impression that it was well known (and accepted?) that cheaper honey brands were a blend of honey and sugar syrup. The old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is so true.
@NewtonEmerson I imagine it’s down to wealth and access. I’d be interested to know if you look at northeast England (where I live) for example, would the figures be similar to Northern Ireland? And more far removed from the figures for the wealthier southeast England.
@signal2prompt @iamonabeach@London_W4 Also we get little mobile kiosks - people who serve/sell coffee from small converted vans. Although they tend to be at events more.
@JamesMelville Not just the money either, it’s the extra headache of additional bureaucracy that’ll be imposed on one-person micro businesses (a.k.a. the lifeblood of UK economy).
Japan v New Zealand Women’s @rugbyworldcup 2025 match took place at Exeter in the presence of HIH Princess Akiko of Mikasa. Congratulations to all players for their outstanding performance.
@mcrj1996 Also, I graduated with my first degree in 1980’s. Back then most graduates didn’t automatically walk into fancy graduate jobs straight from uni either. People generally worked their way up.
@mcrj1996 Interesting that they seem to need help to prepare CVs and applications. I recently completed a MSc at Newcastle Uni where I had (still have) access to the careers service. They offer state of the art job finding support. Why doesn’t Oxbridge?
