I use Twitter mostly for politic-related stuff, here are my works so far. (Nothing too impressive)

For now just sandy topics. 😳
#Turistiacasanostra
It is of great interest to evaluate if PNPLA3 G-allele modifies response to MASH therapies. In our @HEP_Journal article, histological response to effruxifermin (FGF21 agonist) is PNPLA3 genotype agnostic. Await sema, tirza, and resmetirom data.
🧬 Excited to share our new review in npj Gut and Liver! We map the genetic, metabolic, histologic & environmental diversity of MASLD—and how this heterogeneity can shape precision-medicine strategies for risk stratification & targeted therapy. 🔗 https://t.co/kW9lyNHiG2
I count 12 abstracts on GLP1s for cancer prevention at ASCO
All of them are observational, and it's clear a proper randomized trial is needed here – two things on that
1. Lilly and Novo are not currently interested in doing it (thanks to @theglpman for helping to figure this out)
2. The first randomized trial is planned (called INSPIRE, from the ECOG-ACRIN research group) – for primary and secondary prevention of breast cancer in 11,000 overweight (non-obese) women, with a 5 year follow-up

Serum potassium as a modifier of MRA benefit — two trials, two drugs, consistent signal.
the therapeutic window for MRAs may be potassium-dependent. Optimising K⁺ — not just avoiding hyperkalaemia — could be integral to maximising benefit.
New data from ORBITA: computed microvascular resistance (MVR) predicts who benefits from PCI.
Patients with HIGH MVR → attenuated benefit. Microvascular disease may be the reason PCI underperforms.
Bottom line: assess microvascular disease BEFORE stenting.
By connecting the brain and pancreas, activation of the vagus nerve increases insulin release after eating. But with obesity the opposite occurs!
Now we know why (NO-nitric oxide, Nos-nitric oxide synthase, KO-knockout). From experimental model work @scisignal
