Fellow AuDHDs, I often hear people on the spectrum say alcohol makes it easier to relax or socialise. Is that true for you? Alcohol and weed always made me feel out of control, which I hated, unlike other substances that made me feel sharper, calmer and much more in control.
@ayogiovanna I recently lost a friendship for something like that. I was clearly stating to them that I am in a relationship and not interested, and somehow they thought that, by saying this out loud, I was meaning the opposite. We're few months later and I still don't understand it.
Fucking to music is terrible, especially if you’re a musician. The BPM almost never matches the actual rhythm your partner needs, so now you’re either off-beat or a bad lover. Go vintage and enjoy a good ol' dirty talk 🗣️
This may be a virgin opinion as I am one but I genuinely cannot comprehend the idea of fucking to music and i want to know what the appeal is from people that have had sex
@alicia_e_k That's exactly why I like it. It's the new "My momma says I am special".
I will hit you with a "Heyyy I am neurospicyyyy 😏 Wanna see me having a meltdown ? 👁️🫦👁️"

@Novanamix I might be sometimes working 7/7, 24/24, but my adhd handles that well. the moments my work goes quieter, my adhd comes back and hit me in the face like a hammer, and I usually end up doing nothing and going full hypoactive... but with autism
Unfortunately, sometimes you have to be a little mean to make people realize you're not someone to be played with. Not everyone respects kindness, but they will respect boundaries.
@spinelessaisha Accepting that failure is what makes success a success, that without imperfections, perfection wouldn't exist, allows you sometimes to just take a breathe and be more gentle with yourself - it's not always working, but it is good to remember it sometimes
@Novanamix I struggle so much with meeting people, socialising, going out, being subjected to the sounds and noises, and mostly end up having meltdowns and burnouts out of masking when I do. I sometimes have months were going out is a struggle (i work remotely, so im lucky on that)
@Novanamix I understand completly, I used to be in the same cycle over and over until I eventually found the career I am in now, and I still have those ups and downs but my work allows me to have a lot of "emergencies", no schedule, and loads of changes, so
@Novanamix For me it is the opposite. I have the chance to have a work that fits my ADHD so well, but autism burnout is always waiting for me like this
what do you struggle the most with your adhd?
