Constant pain that doesn’t disappear, like ever is so beyond exhausting. It takes everything out of me to go from my bed to my couch and that’s it some days, or others have to take off work with no pay because of it. 24/7 pain will debilitate/mentally drain anyone.
Chronic illness is so unpredictable. I talk about this all the time, but when I’m functional one day and down for the count the next, it still takes me off guard just how fast my baseline can change to bad symptoms.
it’s valid to not want kids. it’s valid to also not want a career. it’s valid to want a peaceful, child-free cabin in the woods where you pick berries and never work again
I am very glad that there are people who choose to be mothers and also very glad to be able to decide never to become one myself. No one should have that choice taken away from them.
Chronically ill culture is having symptoms that would send most people to the ER, then saying "idk maybe it'll go away" and laying on the couch instead. #NEISvoid
Back in day, travellers/explorers would draw what they saw. This is where many sea monster stories come from ie. tentacled and alienesque appendages emerging from the water - giving belief to something more sinister lurking beneath....however, many cases it was just whale dicks.
If your vision of a glorious space future is being ushered in by someone who tweets nazi memes in support of antivaxxers I'm gonna suggest you need to seriously reconsider that vision
@Waterlooinfo1@GRT_ROW It's a damn shame that they aren't doing what every other public facing company is doing, which is mandating that employees wear masks when they interact with the public. It's a shame they aren't doing everything they can to protect our community.
Let's say you have a chronic illness. You have to get to 2x week dr apt.
Bus cost for there and back: $6.50
Uber: $40
Why consider Uber at that rate? Because you don't want to get sick from the @GRT_ROW bus drivers who don't need to wear masks. This far into a pandemic.
@Waterlooinfo1@GRT_ROW I can only imagine how busy public health is at this time. Imo it's on GRT to keep the public safe and update the policy with new information. But they have said they won't re-consult with public health to update their policy. And that's a shame. That's my point though.
