@rigathi Does Not Represent My Voice as an Educated Son of the Mountain As an educated son of the Mountain, I feel increasingly disconnected from the kind of leadership Rigathi Gachagua represents. Leadership should unify, inspire confidence, and reflect maturity — not inflame division or rely on emotional, tribal rhetoric to gain relevance. Gachagua’s political style has been consistently reckless in speech and narrow in vision. Instead of speaking to the national interest, he often frames issues in tribal terms, reducing Kenya’s complex political and economic challenges into “us versus them” narratives. This approach may mobilize crowds in the short term, but it weakens the fabric of national unity and undermines the dignity of leadership. Being from the Mountain does not mean we must support anyone simply because they share our region or ethnicity. That kind of thinking is exactly what has held Kenya back for decades. As educated citizens, we should demand leaders who are thoughtful, inclusive, strategic, and respectful in public discourse. Gachagua’s confrontational tone, impulsive remarks, and tendency toward political theatrics do not reflect the values of responsibility, intellect, and progress that many of us stand for. Even if not @WilliamsRuto , it simply cannot be Gachagua. Leadership is not about shouting the loudest or claiming ethnic ownership of power. It is about vision, stability, and the ability to bring Kenyans together across regions, classes, and beliefs. The Mountain deserves better. Kenya deserves better.
