Looks to me like that was a track or ramp and the stones you see would be acting as a revetment to stabilise the embankment.
That whole view you’re looking at would have been a hive of activity during the time of the construction of the monuments . The world’s biggest construction site - mind blowing stuff 😎

It was 1985 when I saw Concord, the QE2 and the Red Arrows together in formation on the Solent, off the south coast of the uk. I wasn’t really into that sort of stuff, but I do admit it was an amazing sight. My uncle who I was with said to me ‘Remember this, because you’ll never see it again’.. It’s a special memory for me now - so thanks, uncle Jim x 😎

I’m in the UK and the situation here is the same. I’m currently suffering terribly because of the doctors’ opioid paranoia.
I’ve run out of morphine 10 days before I’m due a re-supply - I’m having a massive post-op bout of severe pain and my doctor has refused to help. It’s inhumane. Just not fair. 10 days is going to be hard work with no painkillers..
BTW, I was on about 1500mls per month of oral morphine.. When the crackdown came, it went down to 300ml per month.. and now I can’t even get 10ml extra. You wouldn’t treat a dog like this. I’m at my wit’s end.

I’m sure there are a couple of tribes in PNG that have ‘ritual’ battles where both sides fight with bent arrows and sub-standard spears etc., so they just go through the motions of having a real fight, but no-one really gets hurt.
If, in the unfortunate event of someone getting injured, the fighting stops and the ‘aggressors’ help the wounded opponent off the field - the ‘battle’ is over and they all apologise and agree that fighting is useless, and work out their differences in a different way 😎
Seems pretty civilised to me!

I inherited a pathetic, neglected stick of honeysuckle in my garden when I moved in - It now covers a quarter of the gable-end of the house! 😎 Lovely plant
.. I planted a native (dog?) rose next to it and they seem to like each other’s company - and the scent of them both on a warm evening is truly intoxicating..incredible 🌺🐝

They say there’s no wear on the objects. The very ingenious rope making process you showed there would certainly have left marks - clearly identifiable and potentially diagnostic marks at that. So nice idea, but I can’t go along with it at the mo’..
In fact, the lack of wear on the objects is, in my opinion, the most intriguing part of the problem.
Unfortunately I can’t, off the top of my head, remember in which kind of context the majority of them are found - even site types, d’oh! But I’m sure there’s some kind of link between them all (contextually)..
I’m not sure if there’s some kind of micro lidar that can be used to identify wear - might be an interesting experiment?
