We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Meet Dessa, the most human voice you can talk to. Trained entirely on speech.

Huge congrats to the Dessa research team here at Block, been playing with the model and it's unlike anything out there. Super excited to be helping bring this to life.

App coming soon.

We built this custom app to dial in all the @CashApp Wand interactions.

Pre AI this would’ve been a giant Slack essay accompanied by a completely unrealistic After Effects mp4.

Now we just build it and share the GitHub.

Fun fact: we started out designing directly in code before bringing things into Figma - helped us get a nice feel for interactions.
