I was pepper-sprayed then arrested last night by Minneapolis PD even after identifying myself as a reporter MULTIPLE times:

Cop 1: *checks press badge as I’m on the ground*
Cop 2: “Roll on your side, Mr. journalist.”
Cop 3: *loads me in the car, sees my press badge and shrugs*

The Oglala Sioux Tribe says ICE is currently detaining 3 tribal members (U.S. citizens arrested at a homeless encampment) and refused to release any details about their detention to the Tribe unless the Tribe agreed to “enter into an immigration agreement with ICE.”

Two things: Firstly (and sadly), Black Friday is, in fact, Native American Heritage Day. These two shouldn’t be on the same day. Secondly, don’t spend your $ at big box stores. Buy local. Target, Walmart, Amazon, they won’t suffer if you support small businesses. Support local.
