Working in life sciences I spend quite a bit of time busting myths about the pharma industry.

Chloramphenicol has doubled in price from £4 to £8 in the last three months due to a shortage in supply. It is difficult to defend what appears to be profiteering.

@RhysMcKavanagh I remember chatting with a chap of the 'it's a deliberate colonial plan' variety and explained why it is so useful for navigation. When he asked why Africa was so far south on a particular map, I noted that Antarctica was missing from the map. Colonials hate penguins.

There's fervour for tearing up the laws as they are, but that rabid fervour is limited to a relatively small band.

But they said its far to late, we started using it last week.

I never worked in the field after finishing my degree, but that mindfulness of personal prejudice and bias that I learned from brilliant people like Stuart Campbell and Julian Thomas lends itself perfectly to the work in privacy that I do now.
