35-year-old Asian man was walking when @NYPDHateCrimes says this man called him a “gook” several times unprovoked, threatened to kill him, followed him, struck him in head with an umbrella. Suspect 5'9" Happened Dec 3 at Fleet Pl & Willoughby St in Brooklyn. #StopAsianHate
This. 1000% this. When I was out canvassing and doing Election Day GOTV I witnessed firsthand how the AAPI vote is ready to mobilize, but only if we invest the time and resources with outreach and listening to this electorates concerns.

Walking back home, saw a non-asian man out for a jog wearing a "Stop Asian Hate" t-shirt. Didn't think it would strike me as hard as it did but it feels tremendous having allies in your neighborhood.
