Caught up with the local star attraction the first day, having a brief wash before being spooked.
Long Nanny was a beautiful spot and always great to see Little Terns.
Just had a week in Northumberland, best bird for me was this Artic Skua on Holy Island ambushing Sandwich Terns. The same or another seen 3 days later at Bamburgh.
Thanks to the Big Bucks Birding weekend and a Wheatear 200 yds from the patch boundary, I picked up a couple of Nightingale phrases. Thankfully it sang properly once Adam and Jim arrived but went quiet just after noon.
I don’t get many patch ticks these days, so delighted with @simonsbirds Nightingale find this morning at #LMGP As far as I know it’s a full fat site tick to boot.
Spent a very enjoyable day at Waddesdon Manor watching my first Bucks Snow Bunting.
Showed superbly to a surprisingly small crowd, many thanks to Rob Cadd for refinding it and putting me on it.
