@DrKateSykes @necsREteam @Janelbourne@NIHR_ARC_NENC@CNTWNHS@haining_s@dominicslowie@LawnmowersITC Thanks Kate, much appreciated. Alongside the other recommendations I was pleased that we learnt one simple one... people with a learning disability want us to stop using latin words, 'annual', and use plain language, 'yearly', when they get a health checks. Hope this can change.
Wonderful to celebrate the academic achievement of Dr Kelly Jayne PhD yesterday. Important early research on #ArtPsychotherapy supporting healing and #mentalhealth recovery Unification Neuro-informed Trauma Reconsolidation Art Psychotherapy (UNTRAP)https://t.co/4d4PgGPifq
#OnlineArtTherapy Being human in a digital space! We are familiar with peoples backgrounds on online calls, I love this comment in the survey... ‘I could also use a virtual background but tend not to as this is glitchy and from client feedback I appear less “human”.’ @aniazub
@arttherapyderby @ValHuet1 @aniazub Totally agree! Trainee's views were also captured in the survey. There has been some really innovative practice, learning, and problem solving going on around #OnlineArtTherapy and our survey is a snapshot of a huge change in practice @aniazub
@simonshackett @ValHuet1 It was reassuring to hear from art therapists that they usually felt they were able to provide a safe environment for their clients online. Our respondents felt less confident in being able to offer safe space for storing artwork. #OnlineArtTherapy@simonshackett
@DrSusanCarr1@IJATInscape@aniazub Digital poverty is a concern. Many of the art therapists responded that online work could continue to be part of their offer, but that it should be based on client preference. #OnlineArtTherapy@aniazub
@arttherapyderby @ValHuet1 @aniazub Yes, there was a really wide range of therapists who completed the survey who also worked across multiple settings and organisations. I think that there is now a great deal of practice based learning that could be developed into best practice approaches #OnlineArtTherapy@aniazub
@IJATInscape@aniazub The survey data told us that Art Therapists were most concerned about the safety of their clients and providing continuity for therapy during the COVID pandemic. It was great to discover such attention to safe, ethical, and person centered #OnlineArtTherapy practice @aniazub
@MarygraceBerbe1#OnlineArtTherapy 90% of the Art Therapists in our UK survey said they will continue to honor client preferences and provide an online offer as part of their practice @aniazub
#OnlineArtTherapy It has been surprising and inspiring to see all the populations who benefit from telehealth art therapy. This offers accessibility for so many underserved in our communities.
#OnlineArtTherapy Really pleased that we were able to include survey data on the switch to digital art therapy practice during COVID. We had a fantastic response from Art Therapists in the UK!! @aniazub#schools#arttherapy
