@carol_permian Yes, she was the only working class woman in the upper echelons and, according to rumour, only there because she was Christabel's lover.
@Cogito84@MorawieckiM Of 39,000 men in the Polish army under Sikorski's command, 22,484 had previously served in the Wehrmacht. Do you want any other figures?
@FernRiddell I have one Twitter account and have not used it, before today, since June 13th. Stop spreading these stories. I have reported the fake account @victoriansex to Twitter and asked that they verify that this has nothing to do with me. Please stop this.
@bevlash@FernRiddell Thank you for reporting this issue to us
@simonwebb54 Does creating fake twitter accounts to write negative things about @FernRiddell pass for parting amicably in your mind? You are painting a picture of yourself and it is really unpleasant. I’m sure you’re not a bad person,
@bevlash@FernRiddell Pleas stop spreading this silly rumour about my having a fake Twitter account. I will not be tweeting again, but will report anybody else who does this to Twitter.
@FernRiddell@HodderNonFic@BeccaCMundy I have not created a fake Twitter account; nor have I tweeted anything for the last few days. Please stop spreading stories of this sort.
@carolinepennock@ProfDaveAndress @DeborahSuggRyan The passage which you show above is the beginning of an exploration of what suffragettes and former suffragettes themselves had to say about this. My own views and opinions play no part.
@carolinepennock@ProfDaveAndress @DeborahSuggRyan Nor is 'proto-fascist' a comment of mine; see what Cicely Hamilton had to say on this subject and also Norah Elam, who described Oswald Moseley as a 'latter day Mrs Pankhurst'!
@carolinepennock@ProfDaveAndress @DeborahSuggRyan Yes, history without my own comments! I use only the comments made by those at the time. That the WSPU was profoundly undemocratic is not my opinion, but what Mrs Pankhurst herself claimed in My Life. She said that it was an autocracy, with her at the helm.
@FernRiddell Yes, an academic book on history, Harvard referencing and so on, with an academic publisher. Let's hear about your own academic publishing history.
@FernRiddell So, out of me and @fernriddell, one of us has published history with an academic publisher and the other has not. I don't really like to get into pissing contests of this sort, but I have seen this foolishness go on for too long now.
@FernRiddell Time I fancy to put an end to this particular piece of nonsense! @fernriddell and I have both published with Pen and Sword; we shared and editor there. This is not an academic publisher. I have also published with UCL-IOE, which is. This was a history of elective home education.
@john196201@Elitism@FernRiddell I love the way that people here run out of actual words and have to resort to posting clips of old films and television programmes.
