If you are considering training for a career in psychological therapies, we are running a series of webinars where you can find out about different routes into becoming a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner #timetotalk#scft#iapt
Thanks Tamara, it was great to have you there and to hear your progression from PWP to LI course director. The PWP subnetwork is open to all working in step 2 IAPT in the South East from trainees up to leads. https://t.co/VGbrMz8SOw
@lizziemgray @lferg74
Great to connect with more colleagues who share my passion for #LICBT at the @se_ppn#PWP sub network today! Talking about PWP retention, training, wellbeing, CPD to name a few.
So good you are pioneering this Paul. All previous suggestions good, agree interpreting performance data, and the interface with senior management are important areas.
The scales are indeed tipping Paul, thanks for highlighting. Would love to hear from anyone who has secured a Band 7 or Band 8 position having progressed only through the LICBT route ie not HICBT trained. 1/2
Aware of service investing heavily in Band 7 PWPs, alongside increasing number of Band 8’s and NHSI regional PWP leads. Development opportunities clearly emerging. The scales are finally tipping. Recognition of great job those that stay in post are doing. Well done all!!
@nhs_scft Don't miss this opportunity to train with Time to Talk, one of the best- performing IAPT services in the country, serving the lovely county of West Sussex since 2008.
A fantastic opportunity for people with an existing core profession or/ and experience as a #pwp to expand skills and have an #nhs funded post with us @scft_timetotalk as a #cbt trainee 👇. #ahp#counsellors#iapt@SimonWinter12 @BABCP_Equality #brighton
@gunnerbellis@andrewbeck45 That's great news, Paul is a real champion for LICBT, IAPT and the PWP profession and will have a lot to contribute to @theCBTJournal.
2/ Daily supervision of initial assessments ensures appropriate care pathways are followed, including further step 3 assessment, use of further outcome measures (ADSMs) and discussions with GPs, secondary care services etc. No room for inexperienced PWPs to 'misdiagnose' alone.
The most fundamental component of a successful IAPT service is the supervision it provides to its PWPs, CBT therapists and counsellors. PWPs should not be making any decisions in isolation, and the example in the article re. Bipolar simply would not happen in well-run services.
@JamesDSpiers @notapwpguru @IAPTworkers @PPsIntoAction @PPNEngland Can you please clarify James? By remote working do you mean PWPs working from home, or being in work working via phone/video? If the latter, 5% F2F would be the norm in many IAPT services.
