Interestingly, the entirety of Day 1 of the Conference of the Left there was no conversation about the ANC at all.

Literally the only reference made to the ANC, was about its political paranoia about the Conference of the Left, and its entitlement to the liberation struggle and contribution to its development.

That means if Fikile Mbalula had not expressed his deep-seated anxieties, the Conference of the Left would not have spoken about the ANC at all!

What is eating Mbalula is what in isiXhosa is known as isazela, that he has deepened a brain-drain of the ANC and surrounded it with right-wing formations as allies.

DA, Patriotic Alliance, Freedom Front Plus are Zionist loving and Israel defending formations of Capital, and Mbalula’s conscience is eating at him that the progressive left refuses to accept those formations as allies.

No one said anything when he was parading Gayton McKenzie as some feel-good ideal GNU Minister, or when Helen Zille called him his counter-part - he enjoyed it. Now the left meets to discuss ideas and he feels small, because what can he and his current concoction of allies develop ideologically to turn this country around?

Under Fikile Mbalula’s stewardship, that is the calibre of the political allies and “thought leaders” associated with the ANC. From Chris Hani to Pieter Groenewald. From Helen Suzman to Helen Zille. From I.B Tabata to Gayton McKenzie.

He must hold a Conference of the Right with those people whom he saw it fit to run South Africa with, and stop bleeding all over us for political decisions that are now embarrassing him.
