SimpleDraw outputs plain black and white 2D floor plans to PNG.

But it's amazing what you can do with ChatGPT these days using that images as a base. If you ask it to preserve geometry faithfully it usually does a pretty good job with that.

Nice to come across SimpleDraw being recommended on the Home Assistant community as a good way to create a Floor Plan image for use in Home Assistant

We made scale drawing for today's partial eclipse.

Just in case anyone wanted a visual reminder just how large, and very, very far away the Sun is!

You can view (or copy and edit) the drawing yourself here:

We started asking our users what new features they wanted.

The most popular requests have been for features that we'd already implemented (but our users hadn't been able to find).

So we've added a right-click menu so our most powerful features are just a single click away!

Just a few years ago, getting a Virtual Reality preview of building or renovation works was a serious luxury requiring expensive equipment, and bespoke services from multiple professionals.

Now it's something you can DIY for less than $35...

@jake_ledner @aframevr @threejs Do you mean something like this?

I did some brief experiments last week with a GLB export into Marble, but didn't manage to get anything working properly.

Haven't given this a lot of time yet, though. Definitely some interesting potential here.

Honorable mentions 👏
Marble Estates turns a 2D floor plan into a fully explorable 3D property, generating walkable virtual tours aligned with the layout.
Also shoutout to other honorable mentions: Holocrime, Inkling, and Blocks.

Our floor plans are now entering the 3rd dimension. Either in your browser, or in your VR Headset...

New "Images" feature in SimpleDraw...

While I'm still excited about building an amazing Scale Drawing and Floor Plan tool, I also can't help wondering about a sideline in virtual sticker books for kids...
