Pres. Marcos Jr.
One day, his critics will become his defender
His enemies will become his friends
His sorrow will turn into joy
The things he do today are his path to greatness.
One day, this man will be known as one of the greatest presidents the Philippines has ever had.
Inaway ako with matching unfollow at reply na nangaaway.
Not lovin’ the new tourism slogan? That’s alright! But…
Personally, I love the new slogan! I love the execution! I love the materials! I love the whole concept of it!
PH tourism sells a lot of things; the natural beauty of the place, the hospitality of the people, the culture, the food.. amongst other things. “I love it here”, “This is delicious! I love it!” -from the way I see it, that’s the goal! We have a lot to offer for them to fall in love with our country!
The past few days I’ve read social posts against it and as I’ve said during the Twitter Space Roundtable Discussion… I don’t mind it when people do not think that the slogan is good. Why? Because it’s a preference, we cannot impose that on people so I let them be.
Not liking the tourism slogan is okay but let me offer an objective argument about some issues:
1. vs. “It’s more Fun in the Philippines”
I love the “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign! I remember its launch and implementation too! Amazing campaign! BUT! It’s been 11-years! I strongly feel that it’s about time to switch gears.
Even household brand names need a different ad campaign to avoid plateau! Switching gears to have a jump in numbers. So yes, I understand.
2. The 49M price of contract
I’ve read in a CNN Philippines article that as per Sec. Frasco, the budget was for the creation of materials, conduct of the global, regional and local studies and other components of the campaign. I’m still trying to find the Invitation to Bid to see the TOR.
I find comfort that there’s a study to justify the #LovethePhilippines slogan! Studies mean something! Research is not what research means in social media, there’s a scientific proven way of projections or what your target market needs!
I am no expert of tourism ads BUT compared to the Php 650M budget of "Experience the Philippines" and the Php 50M “cauldron art. I am more than comfortable with this Php 49M contact price of this campaign.
3. Wrong priorities?
I was listening to Richard Heydarian a few days ago via Twitter Space. I agree with him too! We need better airports (and management)! We need tourism infractures! I also call upon the Marcos Administration to improve the other aspect that is important to attract more tourists too!
pero huwag ka, bet nila yung "it's more fun..."
Amidst the zeitgeist of woke entitlement and minority groups’ supersensitivity, activism and privilege, our new national branding #LoveThePhilippines is not only timely but also much needed.
We have surrendered too much and for far too long our responsibility to love and respect our country. Our sense of national dignity is sacrificed at the altar of global political correctness and our internalized mendicant mentality.
This conundrum necessitates a peripeteia far more dramatic than a mere slogan. But this slogan is a start. It is a start in the right direction.
LOVE THE PHILIPPINES. We must demand it of ourselves and of others.
LOVE, THE PHILIPPINES. We must take it upon ourselves to be its stewards and children.
We are the Philippines. And we must remind ourselves daily that we deserve respect and love.
Deal on No Deal
Some unreliable political commentators and politicians desperate for attention in preparation for 2025 have spread unintelligent reports and outright lies about the talks on the plight of the Afghans and the POSSIBILITY of the Philippines extending humanitarian assistance to them. Weaving nonsense from delusions and daydreams are the new normal for these sad disenfranchised and disempowered Kakampures.
No matter who you are nor whatever your credentials maybe, facts are facts and fake news is fake news.
I was fanboying the First Lady the entire night.
I couldn’t believe it when she told me I could have a picture with her. I was so shocked and excited that I forgot to ask the President for a picture. He was just watching and waiting for his beautiful wife as she had her photo taken with her giddy fan.
If it weren’t for my friend who was taking the photo who asked the President to join the picture, I wouldn’t have the amazing memories I took home with me of this event. I was unable to even think when the First Lady talked to me.
But, I was even more stunned after I stood in between the Fiirst Couple for a picture.
KIKO PANGILINAN, bise pRESIDENTE"
alam ninyo naman style nila eh.. lahat inaangkin.. lahat pinupulitika 🤣🤣🤣
