Well, it's a no. I'm fine, meaning I'm very sad but okay. It's been years, I'm thankful for everything my characters gave me, for the people who helped me grow and cheered for me.
I'm laying Wayward Sons to rest now. Got the news same day I started writing a new story—Moving on.
So last November I thought "damn it, I'll just query that agent who was always top of my list but was closed every time I wanted to query; they're open now."
I'm pretty happy [massive understatement]
I checked my phone and squealed out loud at the mail notif. "IT HAPPENED!!!"
@author_anima Thank you! I was honestly planning for self-pub (which is why I had my ms edited, and kept the illustrations) so, we'll see what happens! I know it's a strong story, I also know that the cards are in the industry's hands. I'm fine with it ♥ I feel pretty serene.

@FranWongWrites Which is good whether you plan for trad or indie pub.
You can find folks through Twitter, Discord, even Slack, if you google for beta/CP matching events. Not always a win, but there's always something to keep from those experiences, even the bad ones
@FranWongWrites I would very much recommend trying to find one. And I know, it's hard, it's trial and error, because you need to find someone who vibes with your writing, but it's 200% worth it the second you find the right folks. Learning to find betas even trains you to pitch your story!
@eh_wilde Honestly, I probably could, but these past years, I've lost many spoons when it comes to food, and I'm no longer buying any fresh fruits or veggies because they're too expensive. Soup has literally become a luxury thing I can't afford in this economy. Crazy 🙃
@eh_wilde (only problem with having soup in the morning for me is that I'll just have the entire pot at once the night before because I love soup so much, so leftovers aren't a thing, and not gonna make soup in the morning xD)
@CKnightWrites Working on 2~3—*shit* FOUR Detroit: Become Human fanfics (they just keep on multiplying themselves)
...and trying to outline some kinda revision plan for my second novel. I feel a bit scattered so I'm drawing instead of writing.
@byMorganWright Let's be real, fame easily breeds entitlement and narcissistic disorders, so it's risky business. That said, yeah, I'd love to experience big fame because anyway, it only lasts for so long. Hopefully it wouldn't be entirely a disaster. I mean, I'm curious. What's it like?
@FranWongWrites Gotta say though, that it helps A LOT to have wonderful betas and CPs who are eager about the story and can dropkick feedback like serotonin bombs. Writing, to me, cannot be a lonely business because I do it for the connection, like actors love theater for the audience ♥
@danulmao This disaster addict boy, Leo Manfred (Detroit: Become Human).
I feel so bad for him. His dad prefers treating his caretaker android like a son rather than bonding with Leo, and just pays him out of his life, then has the nerve to be mad that Leo became an addict.
