Big tech (and arguably many big US corps, especially food related) would also prefer to pay low wages in other countries and skip the regulations here and then sell their product back to Americans with a massive margin. I’m being snarky because I was a rancher, school board member, husband of a reading specialist and it was extremely simple for me and obviously her to know this would happen!
I walked through the tiny elementary school in fall 2020 and saw the kindergarten with kids separated (6’) and full masks!
Principal tried to tell me to put on a mask or I had to leave! I informed him I was his fckn boss! Then the superintendent came and tried to baby and smoosh me. I went to his office and we had the discussion. What was it?
That I would NEVER rest until they ended that stupid shit because it was hurting those children and we may never know how much!
I just knew it was wrong! You shouldn’t be able to hear a pen drop in a kindergarten room full of kids learning!!
You know the ending. We defied our plump governor, masks came off at our school in early 21. Then @Awake_IL helped Sue or own governor and Won!
The rest is history.
Point is that laypeople knew!!
Why didn’t everyone?!!

Anyway, out of professional courtesy, the two action heroes exchanged pleasantries.
