The Blessings of Khilafat
On 19th June, Beloved Huzoor (aba) walked through Islamabad, greeting members of the Jama’at with warmth and affection. The smiles shared throughout these beautiful moments serve as a heartfelt reminder of the love, compassion and blessings of Khilafat.
May Allah the Almighty enable us all to remain steadfastly attached to Khilafat and continue benefiting from its countless blessings. Ameen.

Humility and Respect for Others
“This was the guidance the Promised Messiah (as) imparted to the members of the Jama’at. He further stated:
‘It is necessary for the righteous to live a life of humility and modesty. This is an aspect of piety by which we must combat undue anger. To refrain from anger when one is justified in feeling it may be difficult, yet true greatness lies in overcoming it.
Vanity and pride stem from anger; and in certain cases, anger itself is the result of arrogance and conceit. For anger comes about when an individual gives superiority to themselves over another.
I do not desire that members of my community should consider themselves superior or inferior, behave arrogantly, or look down upon one another. God knows who is superior or inferior. This is a form of neglect that reeks of contempt.
I fear that this contempt may grow like a seed and ruin such a person. Certain people meet those of high standing with immense respect, but truly great is the one who listens to a lowly person with humility, comforts them, gives importance to their opinion and does not rebuke them in a manner that would cause them grief.
God Almighty states:
“Do not call one another by nicknames. Bad indeed is evil reputation after the profession of belief; and those who repent not are the wrongdoers.”’”

During the first decade of the 20th century, many influential Muslims from the Ottoman Empire were engaged in Pan-Islamic campaigns in East Asia, including China and Japan.
Mentioning these Pan-Islamic efforts in the East Asian territories, Dr Hee Soo Lee, Director of the Korea Institute of Islamic Culture, has particularly named Abdurreshid Ibrahim (1857-1944) as “one of the patriotic Pan-Islamist of Russian Turkistan” who came to Japan “to initiate certain Islamic propagation.”
To describe his visit to China, Japan and some other neighbouring territories, Abdurreshid Ibrahim started publishing a travelogue in 1328 Hijri (1910 CE) titled Aalam-i-Islam wa Japonya’da Intishar-i-Islamiyyat (literally, the Islamic world and the spread of Islam in Japan).
In this travelogue, narrating events of his September 1909 visit to Hong Kong, he mentions a very interesting incident in relation to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat.
While the local people were accepting Ahmadiyyat in the early 1900s through a companion of the Promised Messiah (as), a dispute arose regarding the mosque and cemetery.
The non-Ahmadi Muslims wanted to ban Ahmadis from using that mosque and also created commotion upon the burial of Ahmadi Muslims at the local cemetery.
The anti-Ahmadiyya sentiment in Hong Kong has been mentioned by Dr YB Mathur, in his work titled Muslims and Changing India, who wrote that “during the first decade of the twentieth century the Muslims of Hong Kong refused to permit Qadianis to make use of their mosque and the cemetery on the ground that they were not Muslims.”
With this context, Abdurreshid Ibrahim’s visit to the mosque in Hong Kong becomes very significant.
A more interesting aspect is that right at the time when he visited the mosque, the Promised Messiah (as) and Qadian were being discussed there.
Hence, Abdurreshid Ibrahim’s travelogue became a means to spread the name of Qadian far and wide...
