One of my favourite quotes of all time is this one by Jim Carrey:

“I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know that it’s not the answer”.

I have seen and heard this same sentiment repeated over and over from celebrities and “successful” people.

It’s one of the cruel ironies in life that you can never *really* know it’s not the answer until you chase it and see for yourself.

So many people are convinced “if I just make X money, everything will be amazing”.

“If I could just catch a break”

“If I could just have one token 100x”

“If I could just get 100k followers”

“If I could just find a gf/bf”

“If I could just.”

I love the quote so much because it says two things to me:

1/ we’re all human; rich, famous, poor, unknown, successful or not, we all have the same problems. we all get stressed, we all feel regret, we all have anxiety, we all feel sad, we all feel uncertain.

2/ if the answer isn’t to be rich / famous, it makes it attainable for everyone. It is cliche, but happiness truly does “come from within”.

We all have within us the capacity to find happiness, and we’re not gonna find it chasing something external.

This is a super important post …. We all hit a burn out in some way, shape or form … sometimes we are just tired, sick of it, tired of it all, had enough, finished! … it’s fucking normal … even the happiest of us, most fulfilled, have moments of just “fuck this”, the key 🔑 is to not judge yourself or dwell on it … it’s like physical fitness, it’s ok to have a cheat day or 2 or a week, it’s ok to miss a workout or 2 or a week… be kind to yourself, take a deep breathe and just refocus and be grateful for another day to reset … please, I see too many beat themselves up for a bad day, hitting a burn out … contextualize it .. don’t let it grow, respect it, understand it and most of all be kind to yourself about it ❤️❤️❤️❤️🔑
