"It is incredible how much mass slaughter one can get away with when you have the protective cover of the intellectual class."
This is the most important line about Bengal from another post by @IndiaSpeaksPR. As @jsaideepak documents below, after the 2021 election, BJP voters and even some CPM voters were murdered or raped, and the "intellectual media" looked the other way because they wanted to "save" Bengal from a party they disliked. That was it.
Bengal was a heroic win for the BJP, paid for with blood. I cannot imagine the sacrifices made.
My salute to the brave warriors who fought hard to get here🙏
@simplyctwo I'm extremely sorry that we've kept you waiting for your order. You can count on us to resolve your concern. Please share your order details with us through a private chat for the privacy of your Flipkart account by clicking here: https://t.co/i3Hvfax7df
I doubt brands who use chat bots for customer support realise the frustration they cause in customers.
@Flipkart bot simply shares information already there in their website and is so tone deaf as to beat a stone.
Open letter to Indians in America.
--
Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat:
Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way.
Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned.
You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict.
Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect.
Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself.
As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal.
Respectfully
Sridhar Vembu
Dennis Ritchie created C in the early 1970s without Google, Stack Overflow, GitHub, or any AI ( Claude, Cursor, Codex) assistant.
- No VC funding.
- No viral launch.
- No TED talk.
- Just two engineers at Bell Labs. A terminal. And a problem to solve.
He built a language that fit in kilobytes.
50 years later, it runs everything.
Linux kernel. Windows. macOS.
Every iPhone. Every Android.
NASA’s deep space probes.
The International Space Station.
> Python borrowed from it.
> Java borrowed from it.
> JavaScript borrowed from it.
If you have ever written a single line of code in any language, you did it in Dennis Ritchie’s shadow.
He died in 2011.
The same week as Steve Jobs.
Jobs got the front pages.
Ritchie got silence.
This Legend deserves to be celebrated.
This WaPo article is unreal: they unironically mock China for not being imperialist and failing to use force to defend its interests, arguing that they're losing out to the U.S. (in Venezuela, Panama, etc.) which does precisely that.
In essence the article can be summarized as: "You Chinese losers thought you could gain influence by actually building things? The only thing that actually works is bombing people."
I'm not even exaggerating. The author literally writes that "China can spend all the money on infrastructure it wants... But in a crunch, it is only military force that counts."
He argues that China's approach was "a colossal waste of money" because "control of infrastructure can be changed" with a US-led "change of regime" and "ownership of any asset can be overturned."
His article's conclusion? "You can’t buy an empire, nor can you purchase global influence. It is only hard power that counts for anything."
As cynical and brutish as the article is, it's also refreshingly honest. It is factual that China's strategy was to win over the Global South by investing in their infrastructure and development, while the U.S. maintains its influence through regime change, various forms of coercion, and the threat (or use) of force.
The conclusion that it is China that should feel embarrassed by this as opposed to the U.S. is, however, completely insane.
Every sane person on earth should hope that it is China's approach that ultimately prevails, for the sake of our collective future as humanity. China is ultimately trying to prove that one can prevail geopolitically without violence, by building instead of destroying: don't be like this idiot WaPo writer and root for the answer to be "no".

THE PLANNED U.S. ATTACK ON IRAN has a hitch: most of the missile-targeting crew are queuing for toilets on the lead vessel, the USS Gerald R Ford.
This is not a joke. A set of emails was obtained by NPR, a US public broadcasting group, revealing that toilet wars have broken out on board the most expensive ship the US Navy ever built. The Wall St Journal followed up to confirm the tale today.
TLDR Summary: There are too few functioning toilets for 4,600 sailors and the problem is worsening daily—there’s no chance of fixing the system without returning the ship to the US dockyards.
.
BIG PROBLEMS TO DISCHARGE
Problem one: Design planners screwed up by including too few toilets for 4,600 sailors, leading to 45-minute queues on a daily basis.
Problem two: Engineers screwed up by installing a fragile vacuum system in which a single valve breakdown on one toilet can stop all the toilets in an entire department functioning—making the queues even longer.
Problem three: Some of the temporary repair operations (such as using an acid flush to clear out calcium build-ups) can only be done while the ship is docked: no prospect of that. But with so many toilets out of order, too much pressure is put on the ones still working, so the problem will just spread.
.
KEY PLAYER IN U.S. ATTACKS
And the issues have been gradually mounting for more than a year. “A March 18, 2025 email from the engineering department sent out to all chiefs on the ship said there were 205 [toilet] breakdowns in four days,” the NPR reported.
The ship is at the heart of US overseas attack operations, working for months in waters near Venezuela, to support the abduction of the country’s president and the seizing of ships carrying oil to customers, and is now heading the planned regime change operation in Iran. Israel wants a pro-Netanyahu leader installed, as the US has done in many other countries.
But how can they attack Iran while staff are queuing for the loo?
.
WAR OF WORDS ON BOARD
One result of all this is war between sailors and on-board sewage staff (called Hull Technicians, or HTs).
One sewage engineering head complained that the sailors put all sorts of problematic material down the toilets, including t-shirts: “Our sewage system is being mistreated and destroyed by Sailors on a daily basis. My HT's are currently working 19 hours a day right now trying to keep up with the demand.”
Sigh. And the US taxpayer spent US$13 billion on the ship.
On the plus side, it would be delightful if the carrier’s desperate lack of functioning toilets caused the attack on Iran was cancelled or postponed.

Boson Motors, with R&D/assembly based in Chennai, is starting to ship electric vehicles to the US farm market. Video testimonial by a farmer at CamFlor flower farm in Watsonville CA.
Zoho is an investor in Boson, and it has taken the team many years of hard engineering work to get here. Our farmers use them in Tenkasi and they are quite sturdy vehicles that tackle rough terrain and mud well! Congratulations Arun Seelam and the Boson team!

It feels like the public is the only criminal, and only they are liable to pay fines. The administration, the municipal corporation, and the government; none of them are ever held responsible.
No rules apply to them. They are never accountable for any negligence.
Shouldn’t they be held responsible too???
Citizens must work hard, endure suffering, pay taxes, pay fines, fill the government’s coffers, and then vote them back into power!
I request everyone to share this as widely as possible, so that even those who made these rules become aware of this truth.
