Ijebu will start clamoring for regional autonomy in this new Oduduwa republic. Ekiti, Ijesha, Egba etc will all have competing interests.

Islam can only go so far to quell a people with so much latent resentment.

What about Igbo land?

Some Abia parents won't let their kids marry from the next village.

Anambra people turn up their noses at Ebonyi people and consider them lesser Igbos.

The rest of the Edo people most likely will not recognize the "divine" authority of the far away Oba of Benin and could pick up arms to settle their differences.

The Ijaw, Urhobo, Itsekiri and dozens upon dozens of smaller tribes will 100% pick up every weapon they can find to secure the oil for themselves.

So Mr/Mrs. Secessionist, I want you to understand that the problems of neocolonialism, bad governance and bigotry you're running away from in Nigeria will not magically disappear the moment you get Biafra 2.0, Oduduwa Republic, Fulanistan or any other ethno state.

You will simply plunge this patch of West Africa into a multi pronged civil war that will last many many decades.

Sudan, Libya and Somalia will look like a paradise.

There will be total collapse of supply chains, bandits and terrorists would carve out their own territories and the colonizers will be arming every slack witted tribal chest thumping young man with a rusted AK47 to kill his fellow miserable black man so Mr. Colonizer can keep extracting Lithium, Oil and gold for dirt cheap.

You will waste generations and millions of people will starve to death .

Naija Confra acknowledges the decision of the Inspector General of Police to dismiss the officers responsible for the reckless k**ling of Oghenemine Ogidi in Effurun, Delta State. A young life was lost under circumstances that demanded more investigation since the suspect was already captured and demanded to be heard. While this action by the IGP signals accountability, the bad actions of a few who had no patience to carry out investigations should not be used to change the process by which the police ought to work in order to effectively fight crime. Let it not affect the morale of good and hardworking police officers.

Naija Confra has never hesitated to call out police misconduct, including officers involved in cultism or abuse of power. But at the same time, we cannot ignore the truth and broader reality: Nigeria is bl££ding from unchecked gvn violence. Cultists and criminals continue to carry gvns freely, executing k**lings without mercy - sometimes even targeting innocent family members when their intended victims cannot be found. Too often, when arrests are made, these same criminals return to the streets through the influence of either their cult leaders or sponsors, and they get armed again to continue the cycle of k**lings. Behind every release is another grieving family, more children left without fathers, and countless dreams buried in silence. Last year, cultists sh0t and k**led a police officers, and just last month, another police officer was also sh0t and k**led by cultists. Several times, we have seen cultists and other criminals exchange gvnfire with police officers during initiations and other places, with the police doing a fantastic job to neutralize them.

Delta State, in particular, continues to surface on Naija Confra for cult-related k**lings month after month, and the Delta State Police tries so hard to end this problem. It is also important to note that Aliyu Shaba, the Effurun Area Commander, who is being heavily insulted following this incident, is not a bad man. Aliyu Shaba’s record in fighting cultism and crime across Delta State speaks for itself. Communities have seen peace under his leadership and have always begged for his return after he is transferred and violence resurfaces. In 2023, Aliyu Shaba was named the Best Police Officer of the Year. A man’s years of service and sacrifice should not be erased by public pressure or by those who want to shine through tragedy.

Naija Confra stands firmly on “decisive force” (k**ling the bad guys), but only when backed by complete, verified evidence and proper investigation. The government, the IGP, and all security agencies must seize this moment - not just to pvnish, but to reform, strengthen gvn laws, and rebuild a police force that is both feared by criminals and trusted by the people. People may criticize at the beginning, but in the long run, they will appreciate the fact that k**ling the bad guys is the only way to solve the problems because if those bad guys were not k**led, they may end up k**ling their family members. This is the only way crime will reduce and the problem solved in Nigeria.
