This beautiful Black girl was walking through a park with her mom when a patrol car pulled up. Fearful, she immediately put her hands up and cried. Turns out the officer just wanted to greet her. It’s so heartbreaking how traumatized our babies are 😢💔 #BlackLivesMatter

Today in the Senate Judiciary Committee, I proposed an amendment to condemn AG Barr for ordering the attack on peaceful protestors in Lafayette Square last week & to support the constitutional rights of Americans to peaceably assemble.
Senate Republicans blocked my amendment.
President Trump’s planned convention speech in Jacksonville, Florida, on Aug. 27 falls on the city’s 60th anniversary of a brutal KKK-orchestrated attack on black activists known as “Ax Handle Saturday.” https://t.co/MSGLavpngg
It’s sad that our Black youth are telling cops “you want to see me in jail or dead.” If Tulsa’s mayor truly wants everyone to feel safe, even just to WALK down the street, then he needs to address not only the EXCESSIVE use of force, but SYSTEMATIC RACISM!! #BlackLivesMatter
Trump flew to Dallas today, allegedly for a roundtable on race and policing. But Trump did not invite the Dallas police chief, the Dallas county sheriff or the Dallas district attorney, all of whom are black.
The real purpose of the trip — a $580,600/person fundraising dinner.

It’s interesting that coverage of Minneapolis has stopped after days of peaceful protest.
But they’re still going. This is Minneapolis today.

Trump is in Dallas to have a "roundtable" with law enforcement officials to discuss race relations. The Dallas County DA, the Dallas County Sheriff and the Dallas Police Chief aren't invited...they’re all African American 😒

I don't know who needs to hear this, but refusing to disclose the corporations receiving $500,000,000,000 in taxpayer-funded bailouts is just about as corrupt as it gets.
While the president was spiking the football and taking a victory lap, another 1.5 million Americans filed new unemployment claims last week.
He is completely oblivious to what's really happening in this country — and hardworking Americans are paying the price.
