The ruling class of "elected" official do not have the interests of Canadian citizens in mind.

Our politics are now mere theatre, offering a veneer of responsible government, while "elected" officials actively cheat, steal, and (literally) kill the people who elected them.

Our entire system of governance is based upon a moral consensus that no longer exists.

It also (foolishly) assumes a shared commitment to truth and honour amongst those in power.

We do not have laws to protect citizens from the State.

We have laws to protect the State from accountability.

They live by a different set of rules (namely, none).

They can lie, steal, and even kill with total impunity.

There is no sin or crime they cannot absolve themselves of.

The greatest danger to Canada at the moment, even given all this, is still the Canadian citizen.

Canadians are culpably ignorant and addicted to lies. We prefer our illusions if it means (temporal) comfort.

There is no evil we will not tolerate. There is no lie we won't accept.

We are sanctimonious and conceited nearly beyond comprehension.

We have become a byword and parable for corruption and self-ruin, and still smugly proclaim our superiority.

Today's floor crossing is not the problem, it is the symptom:
