Hence I keep arguing India needs atleast 40-50 states, highly decentralized model with states owning most of the administrative/ citizen facing areas except for matters of national security, defense and few more.
Past can’t be rewritten now. Atleast there is a way forward, but it needs political will.
The current model is just unsustainable but India is not ready for that discussion yet.

Rahul’s strategy seems to be the “de-aurafication” of Modi. Age is on his side too. This will happen increasingly through 2029.
If it will work or not electorally only time will tell.

The qn Guy is how did it come to this. Trump won 2024 with a broad coalition, so much good will coming in and yet squandered it all away! With his party controlling all 3 branches, they could have solved so many things for a generation - like debt, healthcare, social security etc.

His erratic behavior is only gonna get worse from here on esp if GOP loses one or both chambers of Congress which likely seems to be the scenario.
