@FilledIre@LBC@hasanthehun@lewis_goodall A visa is not the norm for ppl travelling from the US and revoking an ETA just before a scheduled event is effectively the same as banning them from that event. A visa would take time to get approved and can get denied for the same vague "not conducive to the public good" point.
Also using the fact that there are internal hierarchies of Jewish people within Israel to argue against Jewish supremacy being the state ideology is like using Irish people being mistreated in the US to deny white supremacy.
There was no mass policy to sterilise Ethiopian jews, this is a stupid mischaracterisation of medical malpractice. The drug in question was a long term contraceptive, whose effects are reversible.
Israel is built upon jewish supremacy first and foremost. It literally makes no sense for them to invite Jews from Ethiopia to colonise Palestinian land, just to try reduce their numbers afterwards in some convoluted scheme.
๐ฑ๐ง BREAKING: A second Israeli soldier has been killed near Beaufort Castle since Israeli forces seized the site this weekend.
According to Israeli journalist Guy Elster of Walla News, an Israeli officer was killed in a drone attack in the Beaufort area. Seven other soldiers were wounded, including three reported to be in serious condition.
The incident comes as Hezbollah has increasingly relied on FPV drones to target Israeli troops in southern Lebanon.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Jad Melki, Professor of Media Studies at the Lebanese American University, argued that Israel is โstuckโ militarily in south Lebanon, with Hezbollahโs guerrilla tactics and drone warfare steadily increasing the cost of holding positions inside Lebanese territory, and the IDF incapable of advancing.
Melki also questioned the military significance of Israel seizing Beaufort Castle. The fortress was one of the strongest Crusader strongholds in the Levant before falling to Saladin in 1190. Meki remarked that โunless weโre living in the 12th century, itโs not a strategic military location anymore.โ
@OzKaterji@mellifera18@adamlumly So you would be fine in a world with all of the negatives of dictatorships, crack downs on free speech etc, as long as the country has elections?
