@AmeTG4 cheddar cheese! i’ve been experimenting with mix-ins. so far, ive made cheddar bread, pepperjack jalapeño bread, and cinnamon walnut cranberry bread!
ive been using AP flour instead of bread flour bc it’s been out of stock at my local grocery store for weeks, so it’s been really soft and not as chewy and airy as classic sourdough usually is but it’s not bad at all

i’ve really gotten into baking recently! my one weakness was always using yeast and i have decided to attack that weakness with extreme prejudice. now im one of those sourdough people (though i still am practicing yeast!)
@serpentinerose still need to workshop loaf pan sourdough but the boule style is getting consistent results! i tried to double score the loaf pan version at 10 mins to expand further and it just…. has a cut in it LOL. i added some water next to the loaf pan to steam it but it wasnt enough 😅
@serpentinerose thank you!!! my first loaf was an absolute disaster since sourdough doesn’t rise the same way as classic yeast, but I think I’ve started to get a handle on it. tonight i’m experimenting with cranberry/pecan, classic, and pepper jack cheese… my partner thinks im crazy baking 3
im gaining so much brownie points from my coworkers but it’s bc i am baking more bread than i could reasonably eat bc i enjoy the process. thankfully nobody devours free food like medical professionals
