If you’re out in Chester on this cold day and see a rough sleeper, please advise them they can come to us at Campbell Hall tonight 5-6.30 for warm drinks, hot chocolate, sausage, egg & chips and sticky toffee pudding 😊
I'm a very happy bear today. I was found with Rabbit and Foxy but they were both the worse for wear, just like me. Today Foxy's surgery and cleaning is complete...he still has lots of seaweed in his fur but he doesn't care!
An image we took of a teddy bear's head emerging from the deep after a winter storm is to be included in a new exhibition at the Turner Contemporary. The group exhibition In The Offing has been devised by Turner Prize-winning artist @MarkLeckey. It runs from 7 Oct 23 to 14 Jan 24.
@aarjoona @CassWoollibold We were! Plenty of interest in the prizes and not a spot of rain. The two cats who came also popped into church before joining the party (at a distance).
I had a lovely morning hosting the annual Teddy Bears Picnic at church. Some cats arrived part way through. Lots of other bears and cuddlies joined me. It was very special.
Oh! My friend Rabbit 🤩. I'm so pleased to see his eye and nose reappear....bet that hole will be filled next...I had lots of holes too but I kept my eyes and nose. They are symbols of my endurance.
This Earth Day I am thinking about all the toys needlessly made and then thrown away, like I was. Bears and cuddlies of all kinds need to have a loving home, not be thrown into landfill or the ocean.
Update: Monkey not found...yet. But so many helpful people: cabin crew, pilots, people sharing on Fbook, lost property/toy apps, offers to remake 'Monkey' or replace w Monkeys pre-loved by other children. From a random tweet comes nothing but life-affirming kindness. Thank you ♥️
Aslan and I have been enjoying all the attention we've received from our stories. It's sad so many of us end up on the road or in the sea. Soon @CassWoollibold will be turning her attention to my friends Rabbit and Fox who were found with me last year.
I had a lovely week away with Nanny Lou in her new home. Today and tomorrow I'm with Aslan in church to show everyone how important it is to make do and mend.
I went to award some prizes at the care home this afternoon. My reward was to have cuddles with all the children who had entered the competition. And I'm now having a mini break with Nanny Lou.
I'm very excited because next week I'm going to award prizes to some children with their bears at a local care home. Apparently they are going to serve me cake. I got quite a taste for cake when I went on the birthday sleepover.
