Terrified, you and your babies struggle, clawing at the surrounding trees, trying again and again to free yourselves. The snare tightens around your paws or your neck, and with every movement of struggle and twisting, it tightens further and begins to cut through your fur to penetrate your flesh. No matter how hard you fight, the wire does not break ~ it eventually sinks through your tendons down to the bone.

Death is slow and agonizing, and can last for weeks.

Some Tigers, driven to despair, end up gnawing off their own limbs, only to later die from blood loss.

This is what happened to a Sumatran Tigress and her two cubs.

The association Planète Tigre has been working for over 10 years on the island of Sumatra to try to curb this major conflict between human activities and the survival of Tigers.

Russia launched a missile strike on Dnipro, targeting infrastructure. Rescue operations are still underway at the site. All emergency services are involved, helping people with everything they need. Tragically, five people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Twenty-nine people were wounded in the attack.

Russia also struck Zaporizhzhia today, targeting an ordinary passenger minibus. Three lives have been lost in this drone attack. My condolences. Six others were wounded, including a child. 23-year-old Ukrainian POW Bohdan Trofimiuk was tortured so brutally in russian captivity that he can no longer walk.

Captured at 19 while defending Mariupol and Azovstal, he was beaten into a coma during a brutal "reception" in prison, left permanently disabled, and denied medical care.

Instead of being released or treated, he was put through a sham "terrorism" trial. russia sentenced him to 16 years in a maximum-security prison simply for defending his country.

This is not justice. It is a grave violation of international law.

russia systematically tortures Ukrainian POWs and then prosecutes them for "terrorism" simply because they served in Ukraine's Armed Forces—in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions.

The world must know his name.

Bohdan Trofimiuk is the face of russian barbarity.

A 60-year-old man is in police custody in Broward County, Florida after he was caught on camera Wednesday throwing an elderly German shepherd off the back of a box truck, several feet above the ground, and then abandoning it while it was immobile on the ground. The suspect, Humberto Exposito, was making a delivery to a supermarket when the incident happened.

The Pembroke Police Department says the dog, Nico, was found malnourished with matted hair, and appears to have advanced hip dysplasia.

According to the website of Broward County Animal Care, where Nico was taken for evaluation, he has a placement and is not available for adoption.
