'It must feel good for a cat to bite into cardboard'.
It feels good for humans, too. Many things are fairly easy to bite. Perhaps everyone should bite more objects.
// Watson: I like eating balanced meals and going to the gym :)
The love of his life: I'm going to eat poison and dominate the bare-knuckle boxing underground fight club :)
I know he curses himself every night for his questionable taste in men
A recent flare-up of an old rugby injury hasn’t stopped the doctor from continuing his hobby on the weekend. But he knows that he will have to work on building muscle in the area to support his body. The odd visit to the gym will now have to turn into a regular endeavour.
@FidusMedicus "When have you known me to mince my words? If I no longer desired your company, I would say so."
Holmes slips one of his hands free in order to give Watson's wrist a squeeze.
"I don't recall ever saying as much."
- of age and tiredness, replaced instead with Holmes' natural ghostly pallour and mischievous youth.
"I can assure you that I have been perfectly well-behaved and agreeable today."
The smirk he sends Watson via the dressing table mirror is rascally at best.
"Of course he has a name - he answers to 'Father'."
As if to illustrate his point, Holmes hooks his finger beneath the white dog collar and tugs it free to be carelessly tossed onto the dressing table.
"You'll be pleased to know that I have been enjoying an exercise in -
“Don’t tell me that’s an actual bruise on your forehead, Holmes, or I’ll be rather upset.”
Watson said with a small huff, an expression of effort at the exertion of lifting up their fluffy little (big) intruder.
The B.S.C. let out a small whine that could only be compared —
- /disguise/ rather than combat, Watson. Observe."
It takes only a moment for Holmes to soak a cotton pad in the bowl of hot water, before all of his cuts and bruises are being smudged away as if they never existed in the first instance.
Off, too, come the subtle marks -
Ate too many of Mrs Hudson's ( terrible ) biscuits in an attempt to make her feel better.
The stabbing sensation he is currently experiencing in his chest is worse than at least seven of the poisons he's previously willingly taken.
@FidusMedicus If Holmes had a tail, it would wag - as it stood, he could only smile down at Watson as if watching one of his most favoured experiments. Quietly fascinated.
"No, actually, because you become terribly grouchy when I interrupt your writing process."
Holmes, already sat at his dressing table, robe sleeves folded up to the elbow, casts a pleased, sidelong glance at Watson.
"Come in, doctor. And don't forget your accomplice."
Meaning the fat cat, obviously.
A large, steaming bowl of water already waits atop the table, -
That will do. And by the sound of the laboured pitter-pattering echoing from down the hall, they will be having a special guest over also.
Said guest is now standing expectantly at the doctor’s feet, waiting to be hoisted up like a wrecking ball.
@FidusMedicus Holmes' smile flattened into something more quietly pleased, like a contented cat as he flexed his long fingers.
"Perhaps later, if we're feeling up to it. I understand that you have an article to finish first, if I'm not mistaken."
