The kindest thing literature does is remind you that your peculiar little feelings have always existed. Someone, in some century, was equally confused by love, bored by society, tired of performing, and hungry for meaning.
Every time I travel out of country, I realize how much lighter I feel when I’m away from the societal expectations of how I’m supposed to exist as a woman. I’m still the same person, just less tense. And it’s not just because I’m on vacation. I’m sure other women can relate.
Ppl do be asking why you not in a relationship like it’s a drivers license or something ..man you know how many things have to align for a relationship to happen lol
You need to be slowmaxxing. You need to be reading long, fat books. You need to be making 48-hour chocolate chip cookies. You need to spend hours watching wildlife, you need to spend 15+ min making your coffee. You need to breathe in and breathe out. You need to be slowwwwwwwwww.
pleaseeee make ur own money and leave your parental home, never get married or have kids (unless you can actually afford it mentally and financially) travel as much as you can and stop explaining everything you do to your parents, make yourself as happy as you can.
The older I get, the more I admire people who still have genuine curiosity. People who read, explore, notice things, and care deeply about art and music. It feels rare now.
