No prior announcement So attackers don’t have time to prepare. 2. Rebinding flow (no on-chain tx involved): – User connects the compromised wallet – Signs a message to prove ownership – Connects a new safe wallet – Goes through basic verification: • Connect Twitter and Discord (both at least 30 days old) • Optional — CAPTCHA, Proof of Humanity, or a similar verification mechanism 3. Against this backdrop, I want to summarize our earlier interactions with the Linea team. I (and not only I) proposed to @Alain_Ncls a safe and fair way to distribute the airdrop to community members affected by the mass @AdsPowerBrowser hack. The reply was: “I’m not trying to dismiss every idea, but I just feel like there isn’t a truly solid solution at the moment.” That sounded like a polite rejection of all proposals. It felt like the goal wasn’t to find a solution, but to simulate a dialogue. I then reposted my proposal on the official #Linea forum, hoping to be heard. Instead, I was met with complete silence from the team. There was no dialogue — just dozens of personal attacks and insults from self-proclaimed “community members.” It felt like I was not on the forum of a tech project, but in a loud alley fight, where people just shout over each other and throw mud. The moderator closed the thread citing “mutual aggression,” even though I never insulted anyone personally — unlike the dozens of toxic replies I received. And yet, my post still ranks as one of the top 2 most viewed and active threads in the last 4 months. But the team didn’t seem to @KiloEx_perp, @hyperlane, @zora,care. Since then, several projects have already launched their tokens — @KiloEx_perp, @hyperlane, @zora, and others. Not a single one of them blacklisted AdsPower-compromised wallets as Sybils. Do the right thing.

You have no evidence that the wallets affected by the AdsPower hack were Sybils.
They were flagged only because of pressure from an aggressive part of the forum, whose accusations are driven by emotion and greed, not facts — just trying to maximize their own rewards.

I still follow new threads on the forum and see these people continuing their activity in the same way.
They don’t care who was actually affected — they’re ready to label anyone as a Sybil.

How to restore justice for the affected @LineaBuild users after the AdsPower hack? Recently, many users faced a serious issue: their wallets were blocklisted by @LineaBuild after the @AdsPowerBrowser hack. This decision deprives them of their well-deserved rewards, even though they had previously successfully passed the Proof of Humanity (PoH) verification and a detailed sybil activity analysis conducted by @nansen_ai. The inclusion of these wallets in the blocklist, as I assume, may be due to concerns that malicious actors gained access to them and could steal future tokens. However, the #Linea team has not provided clear explanations on this matter, aside from a few official messages in Discord (see below), which convey a different message. They claim that the addresses compromised through the @adspowercn hack were blocked due to sybil activity. This statement is unfair and inaccurate. The statement that these addresses were added to the blocklist due to their connection with a large number of compromised accounts creates the impression that the team does not draw a clear distinction between sybil activity and the consequences of compromise. This leads to legitimate users being under suspicion and being perceived as fraudsters. It is clear that during the hack on January 24-25, the hacker linked all the affected wallets with their own, creating an artificial interwoven network of addresses. These connections were not made by the users’ will, but were a result of the compromise of their wallets by the malicious actor. After reviewing the appeals, an additional 13,586 addresses were added to the blocklist, which roughly corresponds to the number of addresses affected by the hacker attack on the #Linea network. This suggests that addresses were added to the blocklist en masse without thorough analysis. Moreover, the lack of an appeal process is a serious concern. Users flagged by #Nansen for signs of sybil activity were given a chance to dispute the decision through appeals. However, honest users affected by the Ads Power hack were not even given such an opportunity. In this situation, it would be extremely unfair to leave things as they are for the honest members of the Linea community. I have studied this issue and propose a solution that would restore the right to rewards for the rightful wallet owners while preventing opportunities for fraudsters. 🔹Option 1: Reverification via PoH 1️⃣ Reverification Process • Access to the verification page is granted only to whitelisted users affected by the Ads Power breach. • They will be able to reverify their PoH using the same social networks as before.
