Heather Penney was a 26-year-old F-16 pilot assigned to intercept and crash into United Flight 93 before it reached Washington, DC.
She speaks to @skydavidblevins ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

It's unfortunate how much the tracks in this area make places that should be super close and easy instead a 15 minute walk around. There are multiple towers going up around here that are close to transit as the crow flies, but inconvenient walking. This will impact behavior.
Toronto Style now being used where buildings actually didn't exist. They're creating a podium that looks like two different buildings were incorporated into the new 53 storey tower. I would have negotiated incorporating a bridge link across the tracks to Islington Subway Station.
@anniedufour99 Yes I think you hit on the underlying threat is missed in all the threatrics. America is extending its claims of sovereignty, and there is a risk that it becomes just the new normal name and people forget the old names. This is not just a sharpie. It's a legal threat.
@stenshaw It's been three years. The drama about Chow is a bit over the top lol. If 13 years of Ford and Tory were so amazing, I can't see three years being enough to lead to "decay".
@RM_Transit On your second point. The last Pime Minister who tried to reduce benefits to boomers was a boomer (Harper). It was then a younger PM (Trudeau) who reversed those reductions.
It's not about the age of policy makers but the age of the largest voting block that matters.
@anotherglassbox I honestly think he takes transit in Etobicoke more than most other councilors. I see him quite often on the subway (meaning like, once or twice a year, but that's still a lot).
@roth Surely the 3 years of budget increases and new hirings speaks more to her priorities than what board she sits on?
I don't think anyone is saying she doesn't care about the TTC or the library just because she doesn't sit on those boards....
“We’re moving towards building mobility hubs, where #bikeshare becomes integrated in the customer journey with rental cars, with higher orders of transit, with parking, with public spaces.”

@AdoHernandez27 Maybe hockey players just aren't built to handle the pressure of playing hockey in Canada. That seems to be the trend. They aren't interested in pushing through the adversity and pressure of performing in front of die hards, and would rather play in a safe environment.
@Weird_Canadian Don't underestimate the power of elected government to move the bureaucracy. Yeah you're never gonna get everyone working like it's google or Apple, but if a politician wants something to happen, it does. The bureaucracy has not stopped any of Ford's priorities.
