Analisis Awal Badan Geologi terkait Perluasan anak krakatau paska erupsi menerus

1. Berdasarkan citra satelit Sentinel yang telah dievaluasi Badan Geologi, terlihat penambahan daratan pada tubuh Gunung Anak Krakatau di sektor barat laut - barat - barat daya sebagai akibat pengendapan material piroklastik dan aliran lava hasil erupsi menerus tanggal 4 - 6 September 2026. Badan Geologi menghitung penambahan luasan sebesar 32.8 ha.
2. Berdasarkan Citra Sentinel juga terdekteksi adanya "gumuk pulau kecil" di sebelah barat laut dan tenggara dari tubuh Gunungapi Anak Krakatau. Kemunculannya "kedua pulau" tersebut diduga berkaitan dengan erupsi menerus selama sekitar 25 jam. Intrepetasi sementara bahwa magma encer yg keluar pada saat erupsi menerus mencapai permukaan melalui jalur bukaan yang memanjang dari barat laut ke tenggara, sehingga material erupsi membentuk daratan di lokasi lain yg terlihat dlm bentuk dua gumuk spt pulau. Tp sekali lagi ini masih dugaan, yg perlu dikonfirmasi melalui pengecekan lapangan. Badan Geologi akan mencocokkan citra satelit sebelum dan sesudah erupsi serta melakukan verifikasi lapangan.
3. Masyarakat dihimbau tetap tenang. Status GAK adalah waspada dengan rekomendasi wilayah bahaya pada radius 2km dari pusat erupsi. Utk keselamatan, masyarakat juga dihimbau utk tdk mendekat pada radius 1 km dari lokasi kedua gumuk pulau yg terlihat di dkt GAK.
