Recently heard resource allocation in CDrama ent industry agency. Agencies sidelined some actors/actresses under them giving/allocating only support roles while pushing some artists main/lead roles. In short, resource allocation pushes their favourite artist to market n fandom.

Some artists faded from c ent industry coz agencies gave little resource to them. For a years long contract this is like a trap. If artist did not gain popularity n fandom in early period it is doomed. Until/unless artist make a name for themselve getting a good role is difficult

I’m more concerned about citang script. How linghe choose this project? What changes are made in drama script different from novel? Novel is good but morally not suitable for adaptation if we follow the novel plot. Ik its S+ production. Hope plot turned out good in drama version.

There is lots of bad script / repetitive plots cdrama save by great execution.
#Overdo plot and script was not that bad. Linghe did picked a good script. It was execution that went wrong from directing to editing. How would he know post production will turned out that bad?

I want to see variety like in kdrama. Reunion pairing rarely happened in kdrama like after 10 yrs. I wanna see linghe with sun zenni, li wanda and another reunion with enxi deng 😇

Once you entered cdramaland, its difficult to come out. Heard long form cdrama is in a slump nowadays. Why don’t producer, platform, sponsor, director start giving chances to new actor and actress. Same face actor n actress exchanging their partners in different dramas is boring.

I think this is added scene in drama. This doesn’t look like palace. King is not present.
After they ran away from song lan, met that general, he wants to see proof of him being song ling, n scar from assassination attempt. No such plot in citang novel.

#Zhanglinghe played his gongziyu character well. Everyone did their best, shined in their own character, no one outshined anyone. My 2nd ZLH drama I started coz it was him n esther 2nd collaboration. I knew he was handsome b4 n this was the starting point i started admiring him

looking at the post saying "actor A outshined zhang linghe in a drama aired in 2023" and a fans of that actor qrt to throw shade at Walnutz by saying, "# that fandom crying in qrt because they can’t handle the truth," I don't even feel mad. I can only feel pitiful.

it's already 2026. and as long as I can remember, there has been at least one post like that being produced every year. while zhang linghe has move forward, gained more achievements, continues to improve, and becomes better every year, these people are still trapped in 2023 discourse, wandering around as if "outshining zhang linghe" in that drama, where the director-screenwriter clearly showed favoritism toward their fav's character design and story, is their only achievement for the past three years.

zhang linghe has made many progress & breakthrough in 2023-2026. all he has now is gained step by step and not just "one-hit drama/character-then-gone" type.

"but zhang linghe got better resources than my fav" will always be excuse they use afterwards. it's a public secret that gjm weakened zhang linghe's character and deleted his highlights. and this kind of treatment also happened in many of his next dramas. will someone called as "resourceful" would have his character nerfed, his highlights getting deleted and his screentime being cut repeatedly? many people think his resources are better because he keeps becoming more successful and still gaining the most attention even when his character got nerfed and screentime is butchered most of the time. and for the record, his first billing drama after achieving so many breakthrough was an A-level drama adapted from a micro-IP novel having only around 14K readers. it's not even a small IP. if it were others, big IPs and major productions would probably have landed in their hands after just one hit.

it's not that his resources are simply better than everyone else's. it's about what he does with every opportunities he gets. he knows how to maximize every of it, even the tiniest one. he puts in the work, accept constructive criticism, stay eager to learn new things, and keep improving with every project. that's the part people deliberately leave out when they reduce the reason for his success as "better resources." there is a clear distinction between "have better resources" and "being able to maximize the opportunity given". 

anyway, zhang linghe was right for saying that the frightening thing is staying the same year after year without any progress. so to those still clinging to 2023 and treating it like their peak, good luck getting out of that 2023 prison😊
