#SierraLeone: A passion project, award-winning SING, FREETOWN is a new documentary film that follows Sierra Leonean investigative journalist Sorious Samura, and his best friend, Sierra Leone’s most famous playwright, Charlie Heffner, as they try to produce an epic work of national theatre - a play that celebrates the culture and history of their country, seeking to reclaim the narrative from negative media portrayals and the harmful legacy of colonial rule.

Directed by Clive Patterson and produced by Insight TWI Films, with Nick Fraser as the executive producer, the film premiered at Sheffield DocFest in 2022 and was subsequently released in select UK cinemas to critical acclaim.

Independent sales agent Stranger Films Sales is handling the film.
